Peng Liyuan, wife of Chinese President Xi Jinping, visited the headquarters of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) on Monday in Paris.

In 2014, Peng was named by the UNESCO as a special envoy for the advancement of education for girls and women. UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay welcomed her at the entrance and the two held talks.
